Brioni introduces its Spring/Summer 2020 ‘Tailoring Legends’ advertising campaign featuring brand ambassador Brad Pitt.
Lensed in Los Angeles by photographer Mikael Jansson, Pitt is portrayed in black and white images, capturing his laidback and effortless appeal.
The series of portraits stand out with an intimate atmosphere that contrasts with Pitt’s strong personality and brings his iconic sense of style to a selection of Brioni’s finest ready to wear and eveningwear from the Spring/Summer 2020 Collection.
MILAN — Brioni is taking the collaboration with brand ambassador Brad Pitt one step further.
The Rome-based men’s wear brand unveiled on Friday its spring 2020 campaign fronted by the American A-lister actor and producer and WWD has learned that it will also release a Brad Pitt signature line of exclusive items, including a limited-edition suit and tuxedo featuring a customized label. A Brioni spokesperson confirmed the rumor. The first limited-edition styles will be unveiled in the second half of 2020.
Pitt most recently wore Brioni as he accepted his Golden Globe award as supporting actor for his role as aging stuntman Cliff Booth in Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” He has often appeared on the red carpet sporting the brand’s tailoring, such as black bespoke tuxedos both at the Cannes Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival last year.
Commenting on the campaign, Brad Pitt said, “I’ve always admired Brioni’s elegant and timeless designs,” Pitt said of the black-and-white campaign, lensed in Los Angeles by Mikael Jansson. “The brand embodies creativity, quality and excellence.”

FROM PITTI TO PITT: Roman luxury men’s wear company Brioni continues to build up its roster of prominent brand ambassadors.
The Kering-owned label has tapped Brad Pitt to front its next advertising campaign, due to be released in January 2020 and marking the company’s 75th anniversary celebrations. Pitt succeeds fellow Hollywood legends Pierce Brosnan, Anthony Hopkins and Samuel L. Jackson in the role.
Brioni’s tie-up with Pitt is not new as the American actor and producer has often appeared on the red carpet sporting the brand’s tailoring. Most recently, Pitt wore Brioni black bespoke tuxedos both at the Cannes Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival this year, where he presented Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” and James Grey’s “Ad Astra,” respectively.
Brioni, which is mainly known for its luxury suits, has recruited Brad Pitt as a new global brand ambassador. The American actor and producer will star in the next campaign for the Italian fashion house, which will arrive in the coming weeks.
The ties between Brioni and Hollywood are growing ever closer as the years go by. Having called on the talents of Anthony Hopkins, Samuel L. Jackson, and Harvey Keitel, to name but a few, the Italian fashion house has now enrolled another major name from the world of film, Brad Pitt, for its next campaign. In line with a custom established by its previous communications, Brioni aims to present the American actor wearing suits and other creations by the brand in a series of black and white photographs.
The Italian house broke the news on its Instagram account, along with a red-carpet snapshot of Brad Pitt. Not surprisingly, the picture in question, which was taken on the occasion of the last Cannes Film Festival in May, shows the hero of “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” wearing a bespoke tuxedo and bow tie by Brioni.
Brioni, which describes Brad Pitt as a “film and style icon,” will celebrate its 75th anniversary early next year. To mark the occasion and present its 2020 autumn-winter collection, the brand is planning to organize a special event at the Pitti Uomo fashion event in Florence, Italy on January 7.
