Two seemingly disparate bits of recent news have collided this week. On Friday (May 8) Domenica restaurant (New Orleans) will close for a day-long production shoot of a scene for actor Brad Pitt’s new movie, “The Big Short.”
Pitt made news Wednesday with word that he and wife Angelina Jolie are selling their French Quarter mansion. (Pitt’s manager says don’t worry; the couple still loves the city.) Domenica chef and co-owner Alon Shaya made news Monday with the announcement he’d won a James Beard Award in the Best Chef: South category.
Domenica general manager Steve Jeffcoat would only confirm that the restaurant will be closed all day Friday but would not offer details about who might be on location for the scene.
