New Episodes of ‘Inside the Actors Studio’ Set

“Inside the Actors Studio” announced the lineup for new installments of the show, and revealed how it will carry on without the show’s iconic interviewer, James Lipton.

Ovation revealed that the show’s new season will premiere on the cable channel on Sunday, Oct. 13. Confirmed episodes include Jane Lynch interviewing David Oyelowo and Alec Baldwin interviewing Henry Winkler.

“The incomparable James Lipton can never be replaced, so Ovation and The Actors Studio have curated an impressive roster of multiple hosts to engage with the guests and the students of The Actors Studio MFA program at Pace University,” Ovation said in the announcement. “Currently, confirmed episodes for the new season include Jane Lynch (‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’) interviewing David Oyelowo (‘Selma’) and The Actors Studio co-president Alec Baldwin interviewing Hollywood legend Henry Winkler, hot off his Emmy-winning turn as Gene Cousineau on HBO’s ‘Barry.’”

The series will be filmed in New York City at the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University and at the Loreto Theater at the Sheen Center.

Legacy episodes will air on Ovation leading up to the Oct. 13 premiere, including episodes featuring Paul Newman, Robin Williams, Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, George Clooney, Halle Berry, Jim Carrey, Bradley Cooper and Brad Pitt.

Jim Jefferies Reveals the Secret Behind Brad Pitt’s Weatherman Appearances

Jim Jefferies has a secret to tell about Brad Pitt. The movie actor has shown up several times on Comedy Central’s “The Jim Jefferies Show” as its unofficial weatherman, casually sharing the horrors of climate change. But here’s the truth: Pitt hasn’t dropped by in a year.

“This is the one that went viral, even though it was recorded a year ago,” Jefferies said of a recent Brad Pitt segment. The show had leftover footage of Brad doing a LeBron James joke, which felt timely because of the NBA playoffs. Slayer guitarist Kerry King happened to be on set, so they put him in front of a green screen, and it looked like the musician was a fan trying to talk to him.

“And then Gayle King is on the news going, ‘Wow, Brad Pitt must really love Jim Jefferies, he’s back on the show!’ I should be lying and saying he came back in,” Jefferies said.

But the truth may be even more interesting: Even though “The Jim Jefferies Show” is finding old, unused footage of Brad Pitt to keep the gag going, the relationship is real. Pitt was a fan of Jefferies’ FX series “Legit,” and came in twice to record bits for his Comedy Central show. “He also recorded a whole heap of stuff just on the phone,” Jefferies said. “Sometimes it will be the middle of the night and I’ll get a text message from Brad Pitt, and it would be him in Venice on a canal, doing his own script and everything.”

Brad Pitt Returns as Depressed Weatherman on ‘The Jim Jefferies Show’

“We got sunshine in the west, the south, the east and over here in the north, the ice caps are melting.”
One of late-night television’s most unusual partnerships returned Tuesday, when Brad Pitt suited up once again to play The Jim Jefferies Show’s doom-forecasting weatherman.

Satirically purporting to give a weather forecast for basketball season, Pitt started off his segment with a “joke” that was actually a morbid observation on climate change. “I was hanging out with LeBron James and he said, ‘How’s the weather down there?’ Because he’s tall. And I said, ‘The same as it is up there — changing at a pace not before seen in the history of man. Your legacy is pointless. Our people and our memories will all burn.'”

After host Jim Jefferies became exasperated with his depressing colleague and asked him to give an actual forecast, Pitt’s forecaster responded, “We got sunshine in the west, the south, the east and over here in the north, the ice caps are melting. And I am so, so, so, so scared.”

Kirk Cameron, Tracey Gold and Jeremy Miller share favorite ‘Growing Pains’ moments

“Brad Pitt was one of the nicest guys, hands down,” Miller remembered. “And for years afterward, even after ‘Thelma and Louise,’ even after he had really started to blow up, although he wasn’t Brangelina at that point, I’d run into him at the store.”

“We ran into each other multiple times and I didn’t want to bother him,” he continued. “I wouldn’t go approach him. And generally if he saw me, he’d yell out across the store ‘Jeremy!’ He’d come over and give a big hug and say hi and ask how we’ve been doing and we’d reminisce and he’d ask about you guys. It was just really nice that he was such a warm guy.”

Gold recalled, “He really did feel like a Midwest nice guy. And I kind of remember when we came for the table read, the next day, he sent muffins and thank-you notes to everybody for having a great time that week.”

The Kids are Alright

Maybe not new for you SB visitors but new for me! I was happy to discover some information with pictures of this pilot episode of ‘The Kids are Alright‘. An ABC series that never made it to the screen, back in 1989. Brad is portrayed as the usual next door hunk, but I am not complaining. Love finding stuff like this! Enjoy.

The Today Show

Rumors, begone. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are one of Hollywood’s most talked-about couples, but the pair have one thing in common that goes without saying: an unwavering love and respect for one another.

In a rare joint interview set to air Monday, Nov. 2, the couple, who secretly tied the knot in France in August 2014, sat down with NBC’s Tom Brokaw to open up about their life as a married couple.

Asked how he felt when Jolie, 40, had to undergo a surgery to remove her ovaries earlier this year, Pitt, 51, said he was behind the actress’ choice 100 percent.

“Whatever’s got to be done to keep the family together, and keep the family together as long as possible is gonna be done,” the Moneyball actor said. “This was her charge, no question. It’s a scary decision. There’s many things that can go wrong and go many different directions.”

Jolie opted to remove her ovaries two years after going public with her decision to get a preventive double mastectomy in 2013. But despite her own nervousness, she said she knew she could count on Pitt to keep her afloat.

“I knew through the surgeries that [Pitt] was on my side and that this wasn’t something where I was going to feel less of a woman, because my husband wasn’t going to let that happen,” she said.
