Brad Pitt to appear on track at Spa GP in July

Last year at the Belgian GP, several sequences of the feature film with the working title ‘Apex’ were filmed at the fabled Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

However, due to the Hollywood writer’s strike at the time, Pitt himself was not able to work. But the Belgian broadcaster RTBF reports that the American will be on the track at Spa on the weekend of July 26-28.

Now the strike is in the past, the 60-year-old actor is expected to shoot the missing scenes, the report added.

Trailer for Joseph Kosinski/Brad Pitt’s Formula One Movie Being Released on Sunday

Joseph Kosinski’s F1 movie, tentatively titled “Apex,” is continuing to film at Formula One events. Fresh off “Top Gun: Maverick,” Kosinski’s film stars Brad Pitt, and is being produced by Apple.

Daniel Richtman is reporting that a trailer for the film will be released on Sunday. I’m guessing it’ll happen during the British Grand Prix. I didn’t expect a trailer this early, especially since the film is still in the thick of production, but it should be interesting to see how this one looks.

A few weeks ago, Kosinski-Pitt’s film set up a release date, and Warner Bros. hopped onboard as distributor setting up a wide theatrical release that will include IMAX showings. The still-untitled movie, rumored to be called “Apex,” will hit theaters on June 27, 2025. The deal with Warner Bros will guarantee a theatrical bow of at least 30 days, if not longer.

Inglourious Basterds is getting a Collector’s Edition 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release in UK

It’s a Quentin Tarantino film that’s already available on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc format (not all of his films currently are), but we’re now getting a fresh repackaging of it in a new Steelbook Collector’s Edition.

As well as coming with the existing 4K disc then, you also now get a new rigid slipcase, an engraved Steelbook, a 36-page behind the scenes book, a quarter of art cards, and some playing cards. Which will come in useful if you need a quick game of pontoon while you’re waiting for the menus to load up. Only eight playing cards, though, so it ain’t going to be much of a game.

It’s not been confirmed as of yet what extra features are being included in the release. We’re making the assumption that previously-included supplements will make the jump, but there’s no confirmation we can find at the moment. A fair bet – don’t hold us to it – that a Blu-ray will accompany the 4K disc in the box.

Anyway: the Inglourious Basterds Collector’s Edition 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray set is being released on 8th July 2024.
