Synopsis:
Reclusive author Loretta Sage writes about exotic places in her popular adventure novels that feature a handsome cover model named Alan. While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta gets kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire who hopes she can lead him to an ancient city’s lost treasure from her latest story. Determined to prove he can be a hero in real life and not just on the pages of her books, Alan sets off to rescue her.

• Brad Pitt’s character eating while talking on the phone is the same way his character was introduced in Fight Club (1999).
• The movie was originally called “The Lost City of D”, but the “D” was later dropped.
• Brad Pitt’s character is introduced eating snacks on the go similar to his character in Ocean’s Eleven (2001).
• Brad Pitt, who co-stars in this movie, was an executive producer on the recent earlier similarly-titled picture The Lost City of Z (2016). At least a few personnel worked on both pictures. Andres Clavijo was a grip on both productions whilst Capella Istropolitana is listed as a performer on the soundtracks for each picture.
• Jack Trainer is also the name of the character played by Harrison Ford in Working Girl (1988). Sandra Bullock starred in a short-lived NBC television series Working Girl (1990).

After making a cameo in Pitt’s movie, Bullet Train (2022), Bullock befriended Pitt and saw an opportunity for a fun casting, which led to Pitt accepting a role in this movie.
• One of two theatrical feature films in 2022 starring both Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock, the other being Bullet Train (2022).
