A Kenya holiday

Hollywood celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is in Kenya on holiday, MondayBlues can reveal. The American actress and Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations refugee agency, UNHCR and her husband flew in last week.

The tour has been highly secretive. Word of their visit even got some top UN personalities in shock. Sources close to us indicated on arrival to Nairobi, the couple immediately left for Masai Mara where they were booked into an exclusive camp. It wasn’t clear whether their sons Maddox and Pax accompanied them. Without diverting details our sources said of their visit: “They arrived as a family”.

“They are here on holiday,” another source, a top official working for the UN told MondayBlues.

Jolie-Pitt Foundation help fund Zahara Children’s Center in Ethiopia

Partners from the architectural firm Graft from Berlin, Germany — which has partners with Brad Pitt in ‘Make it Right’ in New Orleans, building affordable and environmentally intelligent houses for those affected by Hurricane Katrina — traveled to Ethiopia recently to meet with Global Health Committee workers to discuss plans for a new children’s center in Addis Ababa. The center will be run by the GHC and offer an array of support services to children who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. The project follows the model of the CHC’s Maddox Chivan Children’s Center in Phnom Penh, which opened in 2006. Both centers have been made possible by generous support from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation actor-activists Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt (see CHC/GHC press release). The new center will be named after the Jolie-Pitt’s Ethiopian daughter, Zahara.

Brad Pitt Brought Home Inglourious Spirit

Brad Pitt had no trouble getting into the good ol’ boy spirit of his WWII Tennessee hillbilly lieutenant screen character at Monday night’s Hollywood premiere of director Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds.

Asked at Grauman’s Chinese Theater if he ever took his role home and do it for his kids, Pitt– who plays Aldo “The Apache” Raine, leader of a troop of eight against the Nazis – told PEOPLE: “I did! I’d tell those little ‘basterds’ to get out there and start scalpin’!”

The proud papa noted that his children proved to be quick studies, especially the eldest, son Maddox, 8. He “picked it up a little, the accent, and it was pretty funny,” said Pitt. “He got pretty good, actually.”

As for the raucous after-hours spirit while making the movie, which also stars Eli Roth (as Staff Sergeant Donny Donowitz) and Til Schweiger (as German psychopath Hugo Stiglitz) – it was, well, spirited, often being fueled by six packs and even 12 packs.

“Oh,” Pitt joked, laughing, “I’m just a drunk!”

Pitt: ‘You can’t escape fatherly duties’

Brad Pitt has reportedly said that being a father is a full-time job.

The Inglourious Basterds star, who recently opened up about getting older, revealed that he takes his fatherly duties very seriously.

Pitt told OK magazine: “You can’t escape the very serious responsibilities that you have as a father.

The 45-year-old actor also explained that his relationship with actress Angelina Jolie has strengthened over time.

He added: “We share a sense of commitment, which has definitely given us both a lot of satisfaction in terms of how our relationship has evolved.

“We’re two strong, independent individuals sharing a life together and enjoying being parents to six wonderful children.”
