As Narrator
Official Website
2005

At the dawn of the 21st century, the health of the world is at a critical crossroads. Malaria, tuberculosis, and other diseases virtually eliminated from
developed countries routinely claim millions of lives in developing nations. More than 40 new or emergent diseases like Ebola fever, SARS, West Nile virus, and avian flu have appeared within the last 30 years. Strains of “superbugs” resistant to our best drugs mystify modern medicine, while HIV/AIDS still lacks a vaccine and continues to ravage the world.

Fighting for Freedom: Revolution & Civil War

As Narrator
Official website
2003

Freedom is the overarching theme of America’s history. It is what has drawn countless human being here from around the world, and it is what generations of American men and women have lived and dies for. “Fighting for Freedom” tells the story of the forging place of American — the Revolutionary War. As that costly war unfolded, it came to be said that American freedom was “born in revolution.” But if America was founded on the promise of a land in which all persons might be free, there was from the start a glaring contradiction: slavery. Slavery undermined America’s “experiment in freedom,” and the Civil War it spawned could be resolved by nothing less than all-out war.

Growing Up Grizzly

As Narrator
Official website
2001

Although short, 47 minutes, Growing Up Grizzly is packed with scenes showing Doug and Lynne Seus working and playing with their grizzlies, Bart, Little Bart, Honey-Bump, and Tank. Little Bart and Honey-Bump’s first year of life, which even includes home movies of the Alaska state trouper who first adopted the two tiny orphans, is the spotlight of this film, but ample space is given to Bart the Bear (of movie fame, and who died during filming) and Tank, grizzly star of Doctor Dolittle 2. For better or for worse, Brad Pitt’s narration and cameo appearance are minimal.
