Evan Rachel Wood, Gina Rodriguez, Richard Jenkins and Debra Winger are set to star in the yet-to-be titled heist feature from indie filmmaker Miranda July.
The project is the latest collaboration from Annapurna and Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment. Youree Henley (The Beguiled, 20th Century Women) will produce the feature, which is slated to begin production in May.
The script centers on a woman named Old Dolio, whose life is turned upside down when her parents — amateur con artists — invite an outsider to join their biggest heist yet. Wood will play Old Dolio, while Jenkins and Winger will portray the shady parents who are confronted by the mistakes of their poor parenting. Rodriguez will play the woman who learns of the family’s secrets and is brought into the fold.
July, who is repped by UTA, is a prominent artist, author and essayist who is best known in Hollywood as the writer-director-star of 2005’s You and Me and Everyone We Know, which won the Camera d’Or at Cannes and a Special Jury Prize at Sundance.
Breitling is pleased to announce the gifted actors who are the members of the first Breitling squads. This imaginative idea involves creating three-person groups (the squads) whose members are all recognized masters in their respective professions. Rooted in the dynamic values of Breitling – action, purpose, and pioneering spirit – this concept focuses on the bond created between people brought together by a shared endeavor and common goal and will be presented in Breitling’s advertising campaigns.
“At Breitling, we believe in the power of a team, the strength of a group, and the mutual identification of a common target, which ultimately leads to success,” says Georges Kern, the CEO of Breitling. He adds, “We aim for authenticity, credibility, and honesty for our brand and our products, as well as in our interactions with our clients. The same applies for each of the squads. We are going to launch several of them, from sports to the arts, covering different areas of activity linked to our thematic worlds: air, sea, and land. Our squad members – world-famous or not – will be absolute masters in their respective fields. I am very much looking forward to seeing them soon, going on individual or shared challenges in one of the Breitling environments.”
“Brad Pitt was one of the nicest guys, hands down,” Miller remembered. “And for years afterward, even after ‘Thelma and Louise,’ even after he had really started to blow up, although he wasn’t Brangelina at that point, I’d run into him at the store.”
“We ran into each other multiple times and I didn’t want to bother him,” he continued. “I wouldn’t go approach him. And generally if he saw me, he’d yell out across the store ‘Jeremy!’ He’d come over and give a big hug and say hi and ask how we’ve been doing and we’d reminisce and he’d ask about you guys. It was just really nice that he was such a warm guy.”
Gold recalled, “He really did feel like a Midwest nice guy. And I kind of remember when we came for the table read, the next day, he sent muffins and thank-you notes to everybody for having a great time that week.”
PS. The SB Forum has been upgraded. Also, all inactive (never visited or not visited for over a year) have been deleted. This leaves a small bunch, but that doesn’t matter to me. Feel free to join our little Brad community, registration is quick and easy. You are all welcome!

Rick Famuyiwa will write and direct New Regency and Plan B’s fantasy thriller “Black Hole,” based on the graphic novel written by Charles Burns.
Plan B and New Regency’s Arnon Milchan are set to produce the film. New Regency will finance the project. Brad Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner, and Dede Gardner are partners at Plan B.
“Black Hole” is set in the Pacific Northwest during the 1970s and follows a group of high schoolers who contract a mysterious, apparently sexually transmitted disease known as “The Bug.” As this syndrome causes unique physical mutations, their community struggles to cope with the emotional and psychological disruption.
“Black Hole” is the latest partnerships between New Regency and Plan B, which includes “The Big Short,” “12 Years a Slave,” and the upcoming “Ad Astra,” which stars Pitt and is directed by James Gray. The companies also partnered on “Wrong Answer,” directed and produced by “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler, written by Ta-Nehisi Coates, and starring Michael B. Jordan.
Quentin Tarantino has set Brad Pitt to star with Leonardo DiCaprio in his upcoming film, and the filmmaker has chosen a title. Tarantino’s ninth film is Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Pic is set for August 9, 2019 release worldwide. Per Sony, Tarantino describes the film as “a story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate.”
It wasn’t clear if Tarantino was providing an homage to Sergio Leone and his films Once Upon A Time In America and Once Upon A Time In The West, but it sounds like it. Tarantino’s pal Robert Rodriguez has used the term for his film Once Upon A Time In Mexico. Sony Pictures acquired the film after Tarantino was forced to pull it away from The Weinstein Company because of the company’s woes.
As Deadline broke last year, Tarantino has asked Oscar-nominated I, Tonya star Margot Robbie to play Tate, who was murdered by Charles Manson’s crazy cult members.
Tarantino had been talking to both DiCaprio and Pitt, as well as Tom Cruise for those two key roles. Just as he reteamed with DiCaprio after Django Unchained, Tarantino reunites with Pitt after the WWII pic Inglourious Basterds, which got eight Oscar noms. Pitt just finished the James Gray-directed Ad Astra.
