Yep, a whole new forum, we moved. All of the members came with and your posts are there too. It should be a smooth transfer and so far it has. I apologize for the downtime last night, no access to the old forum. Well, with this change, and the more attractive layout and many new features, I hope it triggers all you visitors to either register or join in or start discussions, since we’re all about Brad and everything he does and seems to love.

Also feel free to discuss anything off topic like other movies, celebrities, tv shows, music, books, anything you wanna discuss about. We’re a friendly open bunch!

I’m looking for Brad fans who are wanting to help out and make the forum more active, thru news, discussions, anything, PM me with your ideas.

And registration is open, and won’t need admin approval. I do keep a close eye on activity however.

Please come visit us at SimplyBradForum.com

Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, Brad Pitt danced along energetically as Chris Cornell rocked the Wiltern Theater, playing songs from his new album Scream. Wearing a newsboy cap, the actor hung out in the VIP section just in front of the soundboard, but was friendly to fans who approached him on his way to the bathroom. The actor also danced to opening act DJ Skee and headed backstage after the show to greet him and Cornell. Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette were also at the show, but opted to stand in the crowd closer to the stage. Source. Thanks Intothegrinder.

When Quentin Tarantino was just a video store clerk filled with filmmaking dreams, he and his pals shared a shorthand for the against-all-odds mission movie they would someday make: “This will be our ‘Inglorious Bastards!’ ” Tarantino and his friends would say.

Other aspiring filmmakers might have cited “The Dirty Dozen” or “The Magnificent Seven” for reference, but Tarantino — who always has been drawn to and has an encyclopedic knowledge of obscure B movies — preferred director Enzo Castellari’s 1978 Italian World War II film “Inglorious Bastards,” a sometimes campy drama about renegade soldiers shooting and blowing up Nazis in World War II France.

Tarantino’s new film — starring Brad Pitt, a mix of American and European character actors and some fish-out-of-water casting picks such as comedian Mike Myers and torture-porn director Eli Roth — borrows hardly anything from its Italian predecessor, and even the title of Tarantino’s Cannes Film Festival competition movie is a bit different: “Inglourious Basterds.”

But there is still a difficult mission in the film that opens Aug. 21; it is still World War II, and there are still guns and bombs.

Pitt’s Lt. Aldo Raine heads a group of eight Jewish soldiers (two of whom are German-born) spreading terror among the enemy in Nazi-occupied France. Their tactics, given the filmmaker’s soft spot for sadism, aren’t exactly subtle. Read more. Thanks Gabriella.
