Ridley Scott’s ‘The Counselor’ casts ‘Breaking Bad’ star

Variety reports that the Breaking Bad star will play an unconfirmed role in the crime drama.

Norris joins Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz in the film, which centres on a lawyer (Fassbender) who becomes involved in cocaine trading on the Mexican border.

Cormac McCarthy, author of The Road and No Country for Old Men, has penned the script.

Pitt has previously expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying: “[I am a big] Cormac McCarthy fan… I mean, I’ve read every word the guy’s published and most of them more than once. So this was a chance to do something of his, and also to work with Ridley again.

“Ridley gave me my first break into the big leagues. And I’m a Fassbender fanatic too.”
